About me

I’m Doug the founder of Doug Telfer Furniture.

I am passionate about working with wood and metal,  creating bespoke handcrafted furniture, to become a functional and standout piece for any home.

I am a self-taught furniture maker. I have a real passion for beautiful wood, whether that is fresh pieces or reclaimed materials. I have worked extensively in the events industry in the UK and abroad, which included making specialist furniture and bespoke items for everything from corporate events, parties to personal social occasions. From 2011 I fell in love with using reclaimed materials and started making a few pieces of furniture for myself.

I took reclamation to a new level when I moved my workshop into a disused grain-hopper in rural Norfolk, from where all my projects and creations are designed and crafted.
